Dr. Kovaz earned his undergraduate degree in zoology from the University of Florida, then went on to earn his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the same institution. He stayed at the University of Florida College of Medicine to complete both his internship and OB/GYN residency.
As a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Kovaz stays up-to-date with modern techniques and treatments. He’s also board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kovaz maintains professional memberships with the Lee County Medical Society, as well as the Florida Medical Association.
Having previously served as the chairman of the OB/GYN department at Lee Memorial Health Systems allowed Dr. Kovaz to gain extensive experience in a multitude of women’s health conditions. He helps women who struggle with cervical polyps, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and more.
Dr. Kovaz can even care for patients who need help with family planning options or who are having troubles with infertility. He cares for patients from conception, through delivery, and beyond to postpartum care. Dr. Kovaz is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to the practice.
