Chelsey Russ, MD

Chelsey Russ, MD joined the team at Thameside OBGYN Centre in 2021. Dr. Russ completed her undergraduate degree at Baylor University in Waco, TX in 2013. She then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, where she earned her medical degree and graduated Cum Laude in 2017. While in medical school, Dr. Russ was president of Women in Medicine and actively involved in women’s health advocacy and prevention in the community. Her residency was completed in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ where she was appointed as Chief Resident.

Dr. Russ is highly trained in gynecological surgery, most specifically laparoscopic and robotic procedures. Her areas of clinical interest include minimally invasive surgery, well woman care, management of complicated obstetric issues, optimizing post-partum care, and enhanced recovery after surgery and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

When not at work, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and paddle boarding, international travel, creating charcuterie boards, and spending time with family.

Dr. Russ looks forward to providing compassionate, individualized and high-quality care to women of all ages in the Groton area.
