About Kimberly Fischer:

Dr. Kim Fischer earned her Bachelors, Masters and Medical degrees at the University of South Dakota. She completed her Ob/Gyn residency from the University of Minnesota. She practiced in Idaho and Washington State for two years then returned to work in the Twin Cities. She is board certified as a Fellow in the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG). She was awarded "Top Doctor in Minnesota" by Minnesota Monthly in 2023.

Dr. Fischer believes people are and should be the ultimate decision makers regarding their health and health care. The role of the physician is to provide information and make recommendations so the patient can make an informed decision within the context of their own community, culture, and beliefs.

Dr. Fischer is certified in robotic-assisted laparoscopy surgery and performs office-based surgical procedures as well. She enjoys caring for both obstetrical and gynecological concerns. She has special interests in contraception, preconception, obstetrics, treatment for heavy and painful periods as well as vulvar disease.

Dr. Fischer grew up in a farming community near Viborg, South Dakota. By 8 years of age, she was driving a tractor and assisting her father, also a physician, on the farm. She, her husband Kurt, her two sons, Miles and Mason, as well as their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Mocha and Chance, enjoy time at the lake. Dr. Fischer has a special interest in gardening, specifically Hostas and Peonies. Their remaining time is spent running the boys to hockey practice, games or tournaments.
