Well, I was having some issues and they got me in right away. I hadn't seen Dr. Gumbs in years. He was fabulous. I felt pretty confident in Dr. Gumbs' ability to exam and diagnose what was going on. He was very thorough and ordered other exams to make sure he wasn't missing anything.

Everyone was very nice and patient with me. I was constantly asked how I felt during the process. I felt safe for my first time.
Hi mistakingly came to Mansfield. When my appointment was in Manchester instead of turning me away, they accepted me as an “add on” which I was very grateful for the receptionist was very pleasant. The nurse I believe her name was Michelle was very sweet, very knowledgeable and comforting. Then I met Dr. Gumbs He was very thorough and explained to me every step everything he was doing. I liked him very much. I thought Dr. Gumbs was spectacular with his bedside manner, his ability to detect and solve a problem I’ve had for about six years. My former doctor there had retired and I was somewhat uncomfortable with having a new doctor, but my fears were for nothing because I was very satisfied with my new doctor, Doctor Gumbs. I am older and I thought the new doctor would maybe be dismissive or not listen but I found just the opposite even Dr. Gumb’s nurse was kind knowledgeable and caring. I am delighted with my new providers.

He attended Brandeis University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984. Dr. Gumbs graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in 1988, and joined Maimonides Medical Center and Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York to complete his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Gumbs was hired and served as a junior attending at Maimonides, before joining Mansfield Ob/Gyn Associates in 1992. He is board certified and participates in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology annual board recertification. He has served as the Medical Director of Prenatal Services at Windham Hospital for eight years, and is currently an assistant clinical professor at Yale’s School of Nursing.
Dr. Gumbs is married with five sons and one grandson. His hobbies include traveling, gardening, and preparing West Indian cuisine with his family.
