Dr. Lucy X. Drawn to the combination of reproductive sciences and genetics, Dr. Chen pursued a fellowship in REI combined medical genetics and genomics (REI/MGG) at the renowned Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As one of only a few fellowship-trained REI geneticists in the United States, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her patients. Dr. Chen’s research interests include endometriosis and evaluating the genetic basis of premature ovarian insufficiency and other reproductive disorders. She has received numerous research grants for her fellowship research on endometriosis, published in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented at several medical conferences. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Society for Reproductive Surgeons (SRS), American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. Dr. Chen sees patients with a wide range of reproductive conditions including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), fertility preservation, recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), recurrent implantation failure, and fertility complications related to endometriosis and adenomyosis. Thanks to her specialized training in genetics, Dr. Chen is passionate about offering expanded genetic testing options, such as whole exome sequencing, and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) to her patients. Dr. Chen understands the unique challenges patients face in their family-building journey and she focuses on a patient-centered approach to provide a personalized treatment plan for her patients.
