Mamie Bowers, MD

A native of Hunterdon County, Dr. Bowers has enjoyed being in practice here for more than 25 years. She has played an active role as a member of the Hunterdon Medical staff serving as Chairperson of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department and working on Patient Safety initiatives and improvements in maternity care for the women of Hunterdon County. Her nursing peers elected her HMC’s physician of the year and she received the statewide Apple Award from the NJ Nursing Association. She is an advocate for women’s health and enjoys educating her patients about their bodies, their health and their health care options. Her clinical interests include menopause health, preconception health, management of uterine fibroids and abnormal menstrual bleeding, and pelvic support problems. She is married with 2 adult children and enjoys theater, music, travel and gardening.
