Prior to working in obstetrics Marisa worked as a Nurse Practitioner in nursing facilities and urgent cares. Marisa is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and attended a medical mission trip to Guatemala.
More than anything Marisa loves being a mother. She has two sons born 19 months apart, and since becoming a mother she has developed a special interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She feels she can relate to her patients as they go through pregnancy and motherhood. She has special interests in breastfeeding and natural family planning.
Marisa met her husband in college and they share two sons together. She loves traveling, and has been to 10 countries in Europe!
