About Michelle Tenaglia:

Michelle Tenaglia is an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife who enjoys practicing medicine focused on women’s health. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 and her Master’s degree in midwifery at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland in 2010. She has delivered over 500 babies in a variety of settings, including Mission Hospital for the last few years. She is passionate about providing safe, women centered midwifery care. She is honored to be a part of your journey to welcoming the newest members of your family and to be able to provide well woman and gynecology care to the Asheville community.

When not at work she enjoys spending time at her home on 6 acres in Mars Hill with her husband, 3 daughters and 2 dogs. She enjoys all things outdoors, hiking, cooking and partaking in all the delicious food and seasonal get-togethers that Asheville has to offer.
