An Ohio native, Dr. Toy graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Biology in 1986 and from Wright State University School of Medicine in 1991. She completed her internship and residency in OB/GYN at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and began private practice in Asheboro, NC. She joined Catawba Women's Center in 1998.
