She was amazing! Actually listened to me. Felt that she took the time to fully review my chart before walking in and actually bringing up the things in it. But most of all I have waited on average 30 minutes after being called back to the room. Longest being over an hour (happened 2x) and she was in very shortly after I was called back. The routine appt felt routine in the best way and I was leaving the office from my 9 am appointment at 9:15 instead of the usual 10 or 10:20. Thank you for respecting my time and respecting me as a patient.

She began her collegiate journey at the University of Georgia before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia in 2012.
Following graduation, Sofronia served our nation’s veterans at the Augusta VA Medical Center, where she refined her skills in patient assessment, communication, and leadership. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Midwifery from the University of Cincinnati in 2022. Over the last three years, she has provided full-scope midwifery care at a community-based hospital in central North Carolina.
As a Certified Nurse Midwife, Sofronia is passionate about providing patient- and family-centered care grounded in evidence-based practice, informed decision-making, and health equity. She is excited to bring these values to WomanCare Centers while caring for women and families across the lifespan.
Sofronia and her family recently made the move to Virginia to be closer to loved ones. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their rambunctious toddler, pup, and large extended family. Her favorite pastimes include listening to music, crafting, exploring new places, and cooking.
She is excited to cultivate meaningful relationships with, learn from, and care for the WomanCare community.
