Stephanie Callanan, MD

Dr. Callanan earned her Bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences. She pursued a research year and then went on to receive her medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Hospital / Harvard Medical School, Boston Massachusetts.

She has had a strong interest in Women’s Health since beginning her studies in medicine. She has devoted herself to the care of her patients, from routine gynecologic issues and primary care to obstetrics and surgical care. She has certification in robotic-assisted laproscopic surgery and performs office-based surgical procedures as well. She has served in leadership roles including Department Chair, and she has been involved in evidence based initiatives to optimize hospital practices to improve patient outcomes.

She strives to take care of the whole person and tries to work together with her patients as a team to provide the best and most appropriate care.

She was raised in Roseville, Minnesota and has spent most of her life in MN. She met her husband, who is also a physician, in residency, and is a proud mother of two wonderful daughters. She has a passion for tennis and running and likes to live an active and healthy lifestyle. She loves the outdoors. She likes to make and enjoy good food. She also enjoys travel and her lifelong friendships.
