Valor’s interest and advocacy for women began 25 years ago while working as a social worker in a reproductive health clinic for underserved women. Through this work she was inspired to become a nurse and went on to work as a critical care nurse. She then attended graduate school earning certifications as both a Certified Nurse Midwife and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Her unique experience and path has prepared her to address and advocate for the medical and diverse social needs of the women she serves. Originally from Oregon, she has called Minnesota home for over 15 years. She and her family live in South Minneapolis and enjoy the outdoors, reading, great food, all things fun, and travel.

I am excited to be part of the Southdale OBGYN team serving women as a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).
