From initial consult through pre-op, surgery, and post-op, everyone was both very friendly and professional. Also, on time. No long waiting.
Very professional. Explained the entire process, answered all my questions, which set me at ease. The procedure went very smooth. Could read a menu to order at a restaurant 2 hrs after my appointment time. Amazing.
Dr. Levine fully explained the surgery procedures and even during the surgeries and both eyes obtained 20/20 results. His follow-ups also went very well including his patient friendly interaction. Totally pleased with both eye surgeries.

Everybody I came in contact with was pleasant and thorough . The process of scheduling the cataract surgery and getting the appointments together, and getting Bayview Physicians to cooperate with returning the pre-op forms was stressful.. But Susan Newell RN (surgical coordinator) made sure it all happened and personally called Bayview Physicians while I was in the office. She was available for my calls at any time. She checked up on me post surgery. I am grateful and thankful for her persistence. And of course, Dr. Ed Levine did an excellent surgery. He was precise with all post cat visits.

In practice for more than Twenty- Seven years, Dr. Levine comes to us following his tenure as Department Head of Ophthalmology and the Founding Director of Refractive Surgery at Portsmouth Naval Hospital.A graduate of Kansas State University, Dr. Levine completed his medical degree at University of Kansas School of Medicine, after which he entered the U.S. Navy and completed an internship in internal medicine and his residency in Ophthalmology at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego.
During his career in the Navy, CAPT. Levine was awarded a vast array of medals and commendations including a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, two Meritorious Service Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, two National Defense Ribbons, and many other esteemed ribbons and awards. Dr. Levine is board certified in Ophthalmology and has spent more than twenty years specializing in anterior segment Lasik.
