Ed Levine, MD

Edgar M. (Ed) Levine, Board Certified Ophthalmologist, joins the Beach Eye Care team and will be practicing at all of our locations. In practice for more than Twenty- Seven years, Dr. Levine comes to us following his tenure as Department Head of Ophthalmology and the Founding Director of Refractive Surgery at Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

A graduate of Kansas State University, Dr. Levine completed his medical degree at University of Kansas School of Medicine, after which he entered the U.S. Navy and completed an internship in internal medicine and his residency in Ophthalmology at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego.

During his career in the Navy, CAPT. Levine was awarded a vast array of medals and commendations including a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, two Meritorious Service Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, two National Defense Ribbons, and many other esteemed ribbons and awards. Dr. Levine is board certified in Ophthalmology and has spent more than twenty years specializing in anterior segment Lasik.
