John Adams, MD

John Adams MD is a respected San Antonio OBGYN with Women’s Health Texas. Each patient who visits his office can count on receiving compassionate and customized women’s healthcare. Dr. Adams’ goal is to create a supportive environment that allows women to feel comfortable sharing their health concerns and goals. He provides obstetrical and gynecological care to help women at every age and stage of life.

John Adams MD graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Texas A&M University. He then earned his medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center in College Station. For his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Adams went to The National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Today, he is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Prior to joining the Institute for Women’s Health, Dr. Adams, who is a published author, was the residency program director for obstetrics and gynecology at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. This experience, together with his training, has allowed him to become an exemplary physician.

This San Antonio OBGYN provides his patients with the full range of obstetrical and gynecological services, including adolescent gynecology, preventive care, pregnancy care and menopause management. He also offers minimally invasive surgery options, including da Vinci robotic assisted surgeries, thanks to his special training.

Dr. Adams knows that his patients are busy, so he offers convenient Saturday office hours.

Originally from Texas, Dr. Adams and his family are proud Texas residents. He is married and has two young children. They enjoy spending time together and exploring San Antonio.
