I met my wife, Judy, a labor and delivery nurse, while we were working together. We have two daughters, Zoe & Blair, and a son, Ashton. Our family has been living in Frisco since opening my solo practice, Frisco Womens Health at Baylor Medical Center Frisco in 2009. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY and attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, then completed my OB/GYN residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston.
Frisco Womens Health has grown exponentially over the years and is now a collaborative group practice of physicians and nurse practitioners with a common approach to practicing OB/GYN. Our modern offices on the campus of Medical City Frisco, right off the Dallas North Tollway and Main Street offers convenient access to a full range of Women's and Children's services. The state-of-the-art Labor and Delivery/Nursery/NICU. MCF provides a new level of care in Frisco with 24/7 in-house board-certified OB Hospitalist, OB Anesthesia, full service Adult and Children's Emergency Room with a Pediatric Hospitalist.
For our OB patients the luxurious birthing suites with birthing tubs, Nitrous Oxide pain relief, lactation consultants, room service and a gourmet celebratory dinner are quite the draw for expectant parents at MCF. We do still deliver some patients at Baylor Frisco but try to limit those to patients whose insurance requires them to go there.
I have the latest gynecologic surgical training, from da Vinci Robot Assisted Hysterectomy and Myomectomy, to sling placement for urinary incontinence and all the most successful and safest in-office procedures. I keep up on all the latest procedures and hone my surgical skills further with each new case, always looking for a better way to limit surgical times while providing the best care possible.
My schedule is set to see 15-20 patients per day. I am committed to taking the time to listen, and then address your physical and emotional concerns. I provide consultation with each new patient fully clothed. You are given the opportunity to get know me, ask questions, allow me to explain what to expect and let me address all your concerns. Most patients and spouses find me easy to talk to, I like to share stories about my family whenever anyone is interested. I am always interested to hear how things are going for you at home and work. I am very detail oriented, straight to the point and a good listener.
I am a proponent of Vaginal Births after Cesarean Section (VBAC). I believe in being patient and letting nature take its course. I am supportive of natural childbirth and you may find the birthing tub and Nitrous Oxide at MCF to be helpful. I am not a huge fan of elective induction of labor, due to the increased risk of Cesarean Section but can accommodate individual requests. You will find all the physicians in our group to have a similar mindset.
My training at an academic Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program, along with my Internal Medicine background allows me to provide complete women’s healthcare. For many of my patients I serve as their only physician. I treat colds, urinary tract infections, pregnancy, menstrual problems, difficulty conceiving and everything in between. If your problem falls outside the scope of my knowledge I will refer you to only the best doctors in the area, the same physicians that I trust my family’s health to.
Dr. Weinstein and FamilyOur office takes lunch from 1-2 p.m. so that our patients can schedule during their lunchtime. For cash pay patients we offer a 50% or more discount off the cost of lab studies by having them billed to our office directly. For patient convenience we have an in-office lab that is in-network with all insurances and have an Ultrasound tech available to perform scans as needed. We are in-network for most major insurance carriers and verify each patient’s insurance prior to arrival. We still recommend you check with your insurance carrier to insure we are in-network.
This is a family friendly and customer service driven practice with an excellent front desk and medical staff.
