Maria Medal, APRN, CNM was proactive and clearly looked over my charts before stepping into my appt. As someone with hypothyroidism my thyroid levels need to be checked regularly throughout my pregnancy. Knowing that I was already having blood drawn for my glucose test, she proactively ordered my thyroid levels to be rechecked. I sincerely appreciate this, as another Dr. in the office questioned why I was requesting my thyroid levels be rechecked when I started my second trimester. She also took the time to explain why I would need Tdap again for my second pregnancy, and why they try to get Tdap and RSV at specific weeks to try and ensure baby gets the antibodies in time.
