Maureen Perez, MSN, CNM, FNP-BC

Maureen Perez, a Board Certified Nurse Midwife, recently joining our OB/ GYN practice in Florida. Mrs. Perez has over 12 years of experience in the field of OB/GYN. She obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nursing Science from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga in 2009. After practicing as an RN at Erlanger Children’s Hospital, a level 3 trauma center, she decided to follow her passion for women’s care and went back to school to complete her Master’s Degree Nursing. She completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing Science with a concentration in Midwifery and Family Practice from Emory University in Georgia in 2012.

Since then, Mrs. Perez has provided efficient, up to date and culturally competent women’s care to an extensive population in the greater Atlanta area by delivering over 1300 babies, first-assisted on over 250 cesarean sections in one of the best and busiest level 3 NICU hospital in the country. Mrs. Perez also invested time in acquiring necessary ambulatory GYN skills allowing her to perform numerous procedure in office to better help the community she served. Mrs. Perez is a result-driven caring professional with outstanding communication and relational skills contributing to an integrative approach necessary to obtain desired positive outcomes for her patients. She has commendable and decisive leadership skills allowing her to often manage numerous competing priorities, while being able to provide superior patient care and fostering teamwork within her environment. Her passion for women’s care is her driving force.
