Dr. Givens has significant expertise in the specialized field of robotic and minimally invasive surgery, and his interests include benign gynecologic conditions, as well as routine and complicated obstetrics. He is particularly interested in the management of endometriosis, fibroids, as well as other complex gynecologic surgeries. Dr. Givens also serves as a da Vinci robotic preceptor, one of only three in the Lowcountry, and helps teach other surgeons around the country how to use the da Vinci robotic surgical system. Dr. Givens is the Chairman of the Perinatal Morbidity and Mortality Committee, past Chairman of the Department of Women and Children, and is a member of the Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery Department at Trident Health System. Dr. Givens is married, has two children, and he enjoys traveling, boating, and spending time with his family.
