Dr. Ruchi Moore grew up on Lookout Mountain in Tennessee. She received a BS in Environmental Science from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. She then taught Environmental Science to elementary and middle school students in Atlanta before obtaining her MD from the Medical College of Georgia.

She and her husband, Brian, moved to Asheville in 2002 to join the residency program at MAHEC. They quickly fell in love with western North Carolina and stayed after she completed her training in Ob-Gyn. They have a daughter, Arya, and two sons, Kadyn and Seth.
