She was very knowledgeable when answering questions and very straightforward and honest. You could tell that she really cared.
Appointment went really well. Was quick and was very happy with how it went.
The individuals were friendly and efficient. There can be improvement regarding the online portal and messaging. It is difficult to contact someone on the phone. You have to call and leave a message and hope that someone calls you back. It would be very benecial to be able to speak to a live person and not have to only rely on an app or hoping someone will call you back. When someone does call you back, it would be helpful to know what time you would get a call back. I have gotten a call first thing in the morning while in the restroom and not in a position to take notes on the details of the call which is challenging.
I was extremely satisfied with my experience because my fertility doctor and the entire team were compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the process. They took the time to answer my questions, explain each step clearly, and made me feel heard and cared for during what can be an emotional journey. I truly appreciated their professionalism, kindness, and dedication.

From the first call to schedule the appointment, the staff was so kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were welcomed and it was a very nice office environment. Dr. Thompson was warm, kind, patient and explained things in such a nice manner that was not overwhelming (in an already somewhat overwhelming situation). Highly recommend the team at CCRM!

Stephanie M. Thompson, MD is a Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility specialist at CCRM Fertility of New Jersey. She is an attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, and Board Certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Thompson received her undergraduate degree in Spanish from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC and her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University Medical Center and completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School.
Her special interests within the field include health and wellness in fertility patients and oocyte cryopreservation. Dr. Thompson has received many honors throughout her academic career, including Castle Connolly Top Doctor in 2023, and has actively contributed to the scientific literature in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Her research includes “Single vs. Double IUI for Male Factor Infertility” and “Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) stimulation of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) in immortalized endometrial stromal cells.
As well as her research involvement, Dr. Thompson is a frequent speaker on Egg Freezing having appeared on CNN’s “This is Birth with Lisa Ling” as well as “The Dr. Oz” show to discuss this emerging technology. She recently was featured in the MSNBC documentary “Stories We Tell – The Fertility Secret” that examines infertility issues in the BIPOC community.
Dr. Thompson continues to teach residents and medical students as the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division Director for Resident Education at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
Dr. Thompson works out of both our Teaneck and Hoboken office locations where her practice encompasses reproductive surgery, treatment of gynecologic endocrine disorders and assisted reproductive technologies including in vitro fertilization and oocyte cryopreservation.
