The protocol we tried resulted in an embryo being frozen.
The appointment was great and I really liked Dr. Von Wald. The only reason that I did not give a 5 is that I had a lot of trouble making the appointment and communicating with the office. I would suggest that you make it impossible for new patients to make appointments through your website as a lot of the problems I faced were a result of that and many issues and miscommunications and issues would have been avoided if I had had to talk to an employee when I made the appointment.
I love Toni- she helped me with everything. I would not want to go through IVF without her !!

The doctor was kind, informative, and very helpful.
The doctor and the entire staff were friendly and performed the procedures professionally and on schedule.
This was our 2nd regroup with our 3rd doctor. We felt like we weren't rushed, that Dr. Von Wald listened to our concerns and our questions more than previous doctors. With our original doctor we often felt dismissed or that we were just a case number who was not invested in our success at all. Dr. Von Wald was noticeably different.
Dr. Von Wald is always very informative and up front about what will happen for the procedure. She also understands the emotional impact involved and always eases any concerns.

Dr. Von Wald brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her extensive career in reproductive medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology. Her areas of interest include in vitro fertilization (IVF), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), unexplained infertility, biomedical ethics, and nutrition.
Dr. Von Wald earned her medical degree cum laude from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wesley Medical Center through the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She further specialized with a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital/Boston IVF through Harvard Medical School. Dr. Von Wald also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
She has held numerous academic positions throughout her career. Most recently, she served as a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. She was actively involved in medical student education and an integral member of the biomedical ethics committee. Her excellence in her field is reflected in the numerous awards she has received. These include the Sanford Health “New to Sanford” Award for Clinical Excellence (2018), the Ob/Gyn “Helping Hand” Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching (2009), and the Jayhawker MD Resident Award for Excellence in Teaching (2001).
Before joining CCRM, Dr. Von Wald worked at Sanford Fertility and Reproductive Medicine in Sioux Falls, SD. Her previous roles include positions at Conceptions Reproductive Associates in Littleton, CO and the Center for Reproductive Medicine in Wichita, KS.
Outside of work, Dr. Von Wald enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, hiking, and pretty much anything outdoors!
