Dr. Tony Resta attended Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his OB/GYN residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and National Naval Medical Center. He completed his service in the US Army at Fort Belvoir, Virginia where he was involved in resident education and was an Associate Professor in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at USUHS. He joined his current practice with Capital Women’s Care in January 2007.
Dr. Resta is currently the medical director for Maryland Surgery Center for Women, and Chairman of the department of OB/GYN at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. He also is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the department of OB/GYN at George Washington University. Dr. Resta was amongst the first in Maryland to receive, and continues to maintain, designation as a COEMIG (Certificate of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology) surgeon.
