At Carolina Women's Research and Wellness Center, our all-female staff is committed to providing you with exceptional care in a compassionate and friendly atmosphere. We have two divisions: women's health research and a women's clinic. Our Women's Wellness Clinic offers both primary care and gynecological care. We provide a range of gynecological services, including management of menstrual problems, endometriosis, fibroids, contraception, infections, abnormal Pap results, and menopause. We also offer weight loss management and aesthetic services.

Our founder, Dr. Andrea Lukes, has a special interest in heavy menstrual bleeding. She has focused on the evaluation and treatment of abnormal periods for over 20 years. She has published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, as well as been interviewed by national news organizations regarding her expertise. Her research includes being the lead investigator on a number of medical and surgical treatments for heavy periods.

As a co-founder of the Women's Hemostasis and Thrombosis Clinic at Duke University Medical Center in 2000, she has worked with hematologists from all over the world. She understands the impact on women who may have a bleeding or clotting disorder. She has also provided expert advice to not only her patients, but to pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, and the FDA.
