I've been a patient for several years. I just love how the staff treats you like family every time I visit.
I came to the office for a follow up appointment for one issue. When I arrived I mentioned that I recently had another issue that developed. I was immediately able to address this 2nd problem. Steps were taken so I could have this diagnosed when the doctor came in to meet with me. I appreciate the prompt attention to detail and willingness to not delay/postpone my new problem. Most doctors today will only address one concern at a time. Typically, this means the patient has to schedule an additional visit.
I cannot recommend Dr. Lukes highly enough. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced, which instantly gives me the utmost confidence and trust in her care. What sets her apart is her open-minded approach—she truly listens to her patients and partners with them on their health. I always feel completely safe and well-cared for under her medical guidance.

She received her bachelor’s degree in religion from Duke University, followed by a combined medical degree and master’s degree in statistics from Duke University. She then completed her ObGyn residency at UNC. While on faculty at DUMC, she co-founded and served as the Director of Gynecology for the Women’s Hemostasis and Thrombosis Clinic. She participated in research programs supported by the NIH and CDC, as well as conducting multiple industry sponsored FDA trials. She continues to actively consult with industry regarding development and implementation of research protocols, including communications and presentations to the FDA. She has participated in over 75 FDA approved clinical studies.
