Andrew Block, MD, FACOG

Dr. Block has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 25 years in Laurel, Rockville and Silver Spring, Maryland. In 1987 he received his medical degree from Temple University and in 1991 he completed his OB/GYN residency at the University of Maryland. Dr. Block attended the University of Pennsylvania and completed his undergraduate degree in 1980. He is board certified and a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is past chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Holy Cross Hospital. Dr. Block enjoys teaching residents and is an Associate Clinical Professor at George Washington University. His interests include Normal and High Risk Pregnancy, Contraceptive Management, Infertility, and Menopausal issues. He has developed expertise in minimally invasive surgery including Operative Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy. He has been recognized in Washingtonian Magazine Top Doctors for many years. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
