My overall experience -- from the initial consultation with Dr. Albino to my final recovery period -- was extremely positive. Dr. Albino is a top-notch surgeon who also has a great bedside manner and takes whatever time is needed to explain everything and answer questions. I had no complications from surgery and an uneventful recovery. In addition, Dr. Albino's staff is fabulous. All the nurses and the patient care coordinator are competent, caring, and responsive, and it was always easy to communicate with them.

Dr Albino and his staff was friendly and honest about all aspects of the surgery. I knew what to expect and what extras to have while I was healing at home. After surgery I had more bleeding at the cancer site and needed a drain put it. Dr Albino worked with Dr Cocilovo to remove breast cancer and have as little scaring as possible.
Dr. Albino handled what many other doctors told me would be a difficult surgery with apparent ease, with excellent results. He made me feel very comfortable in his care. In my opinion, Dr. Albino is the best plastic surgeon in the DC area for breast reconstruction.
Dr. Albino really listened to my needs as a patient, and I also felt immediately comfortable with him. He is knowledgeable, charismatic and has an eye for aesthetics. He was on hand at all times and guided me on every step of the way. The results look fabulous and I could t be more satisfied
My healing is ongoing. Dr Albino and his staff have been very supportive, explaining what was to happen every step of the way. Dr. Albino even phoned me from his ski vacation after conferring with my oncologist and radiologist after cancer cells turned up in damaged skin removed during the DIEP flap procedure. His nurses and patient coordinator are top notch. So are Dr. Rao and Tyler.

After graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from Haverford College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Albino earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He was then accepted into the prestigious Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency program at Georgetown University Hospital, a highly competitive six-year program that accepts only the top-performing medical graduates nationwide. After completing his residency as the Administrative Chief Resident, Dr. Albino went on to complete a year-long Microsurgery Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, where he trained in advanced microsurgical techniques for breast reconstruction and other reconstructive procedures.
