Hunter Smith, MD

Small town Lowcountry born and raised, Dr. Hunter A. Smith is a proud graduate of Wofford College where he received Bachelor degrees in Biology and Spanish. He then earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at West Virginia University, where he trained in High Risk Obstetrics and natural labor techniques. While there, he received the Excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery Award, and was awarded the AUGS Pelvic Surgery Recognition two years in a row. His professional strengths include Da Vinci Robotic Laparoscopy, High Risk Obstetrics, contraception management, and fluency in Spanish. Dr. Smith and his wife enjoy traveling, playing trivia, and outdoor sports.
