Iralia Georgiou, MD

Dr. Iralia Georgiou graduated with honors from The Johns Hopkins University with a bachelors of arts in Behavioral Health, and an additional minor in Women, Gender & Sexuality. She attended The George Washington University School of Medicine. Where she earned her medical doctorate (M.D.). She trained at George Washington University hospital for residency, Where she served as Chief Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her gynecology training included advanced surgical procedures including hysteroscopy, minimally invasive surgeries and mastery of laparoscopic procedures. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Georgiou’s special interests include adolescent care, contraception and surgery. Dr. Georgiou was born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland where she currently resides with her family.
