Jose Rodriguez, MD

With over sixteen years of post-graduate education and training, Dr. Jose Rodriguez has developed sophisticated techniques and employs state-of-the-art treatments. A native Spanish speaker, Dr. Rodríguez is proud to offer care in both English and Spanish, ensuring clear communication and comfort for all patients.

Dr. Rodriguez earned his medical degree from the National University of Mexico, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He completed his integrated Plastic Surgery Residency training at Virginia Tech. He then pursued further training in Craniofacial Surgery at one of the top programs in the country at the University of California, San Diego. During his fellowship, he honed his skills in complex aesthetic and reconstructive procedures of the face.

Dr. Rodriguez has written numerous articles that have been published in major plastic and aesthetic surgery journals and he has presented extensively at national and international conferences in plastic surgery. Prior to his surgical training, he completed a prestigious NIH research fellowship at the University of Michigan studying complex facial reconstruction. He continues to be an active member in academia and always stays current with the latest advancements in aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Rodriguez is on staff at both Scripps and Sharp hospitals in San Diego. He practices the full spectrum of plastic surgery, including body contouring, breast surgery, facial rejuvenation, reconstruction after trauma to the face and body, and pediatric reconstruction. He also volunteers his time to provide cleft lip and palate repair to those in need in Mexico.

Dr. Rodriguez believes that excellent patient care leads to unparalleled results and great medical outcomes. He works closely with his patients, listening to their concerns. His goal is to create the ideal treatment plan for each patient’s individual needs.
