Sara Bowen, DNP, APRN, WHNP-C, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UMASS Lowell. From there, she moved to New York City and worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Surgical Oncology. After four years, she decided to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Boston College in the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program. During her studies, she worked as an RN on a Surgical Gynecology-Oncology unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
