Obstetrical Appointment (routine)
I appreciate being told about if baby could be Down syndrome but I don't feel as if 9 weeks is a good judge for the Nuchal Translucency testing. To have two techs come in and then the doctor I believe it was more alarming than it should of been. I think the doctor should of come in after the first tech saw something. At 9 weeks and 5 days there was only that one marker and I believe if there was more markers then I should of been notified it could have a higher chance instead of telling me something before it's even confirmed. I know that he has to tell me but I would rather have had more definitive markers than just one not even at the right age of gestation. I would say he is a great dr though I just wasn't completely convinced it was best told the way it was.
He was very nice. Listened to what I had to say about worries I am have. Suggested somethings I could do and get.
He was kind. He listened to me and answered my questions directly and clearly. I really appreciated that he talked to me like an intelligent, educated adult while not assuming a knew everything since I work in Healthcare. He was kind and respectful, and I felt valued and cared for in his office.
Dr. Sullivan was kind. He listened to my concerns and experience, and shared the treatment in a way I understood.
