She helps patients with concerns regarding changes due to aging of the face or body, and can help male patients who have complaints of gynecomastia. Dr. Haws is also committed to providing breast reconstruction to patients with breast cancer or congenital defects preventing breast development.
Dr. Haws takes the time to get to know her patients and understand their needs and desires. She will work alongside with patients to help them achieve their goals and provide patients with a beautiful appearance that enhances their confidence.
Dr. Haws earned her Medical Degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Haws completed a six-year combined General and Plastic Surgery residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. She then came to Nashville for a six-month Breast and Aesthetic Fellowship with Nashville Plastic Surgery and also worked as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
Dr. Haws is a member of the medical staff at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. She performs the majority of her surgeries at St. Thomas Midtown Surgicare Outpatient Surgery. Dr. Melinda Haws is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery as well as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
