After completing her residency at Duke, Dr. Rhee spent two years working for the National Health Service (NHS) in London. This international experience broadened her clinical perspective and played a key role in shaping her approach to community-based healthcare.
After leaving the NHS, Dr. Rhee returned to Duke University to complete a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Her exceptional skills and leadership were quickly recognized during her fellowship, and she was invited to stay on as faculty at Duke University, where she served as associate medical director of Duke Perinatal Consultants of Raleigh and Cary. Although Dr. Rhee has close ties to Duke University, she is a proud Carolina mom and always ready to cheer on the Tar Heels!
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Rhee is a mother of four girls, and her family is her greatest source of inspiration. She met her husband while in residency at Duke University, and he is an OB-GYN in Raleigh. Her oldest daughters are twins and freshmen in college, one at the University of Richmond and the other at UNC. Her “youngers” are still at home and in middle and high school. In her free time, Dr. Rhee stays active by running marathons, practicing boxing, and playing with her dog. She also enjoys quieter moments knitting, reading, and spending time with her loved ones.
Dr. Rhee is passionate about improving maternal health through education and advocacy. Throughout her career, she has focused on managing complex pregnancy conditions while maintaining a compassionate and personalized approach to patient care.
