Afterwards, she completed her Surgery and Plastic Surgery residency training with certificates earned from Michigan State University in Grand Rapids. Here she distinguished herself with honors and served as chief resident in her senior year. She then completed her Fellowship training under the instruction of Dr. Jim Carraway at Eastern Virginia Medical School, after which she entered private practice in Tucson.
